  1. Nice photo of Timp. A more “expansive” view greeted me every day from my family’s old farm house west of American Fork. I miss Timp, its smells, and the lower Mahagony Mountain, (foothill), on the west side. However, I don’t miss the massive overdevelopment that now creeps up both east and west sides of this amazing mountain. It is so sad that the locals in Utah have no clue what an incredible treasure their mountains are. Last hike up the back of Timp I brought back two full 50 gallon trash bags of disposable diapers, pop cans, and junk food wrappers. I could have hauled out more. It’s a beautiful mountain surrounded by horrible residents. It’s so sad. I’ve had to move to the base of another mountain range in another part of the world where housing projects, ATV’s, and four-wheel trucks/Jeeps don’t scar everthing your photo does not show.
